PCB Reports PKR 10 Billion Revenue from ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has refuted claims of financial losses from hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, instead announcing a record-breaking revenue of PKR 10 billion.
At a press conference, PCB spokesperson Aamir Mir and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Javed Murtaza highlighted the tournament’s substantial financial success. Dismissing reports from Indian media, Mir confirmed that PCB had already secured PKR 3 billion in earnings, with additional revenue expected after the audit.
“All expenses for the tournament were covered by the ICC,” Mir stated. “PCB generated income through gate money and ticket sales, and we anticipate another PKR 3 billion from the ICC post-audit.”
This achievement surpasses the board’s initial revenue target of PKR 2 billion, underscoring PCB’s efficient management and strategic planning. Additionally, major stadium upgrades were carried out as part of the tournament preparations, further strengthening Pakistan’s cricket infrastructure.
